I started assembling material for a real estate reference book over 30 years ago and its original purpose was primarily definitional, but with an eye to explaining the full significance of the many words and phrases used in real estate and to act as a source for further reference.

The Encyclopedia has grown like topsy and now has over 10,000 terms.

Many people ask me how there could be so many words and phrases in real estate (even without architecture and building terms). The answer is that I have brought together words from related subjects, finance, investment, surveying contract, tort, appraisal, valuation, land planning, zoning, etc.

This blog is a forum to discuss these subjects and help to explain a bit more about the compleities of this world.
